Fifteen, in my bedroom, making beats.

I was fifteen when I started making beats. Nobody handed me a plan. I learned by doing it over and over, most nights, for years.

For a long time I was only a producer. I didn’t sing on anything until I was eighteen or nineteen. Those years taught me how a song actually gets built, and I still use all of it.

Humble beginnings.

In 2020 I was still figuring it out: making songs in my room, putting them out and learning in public. Not many people were listening yet.

I kept going anyway. Every song taught me something the last one didn’t.

A song every week, for a year.

In 2021 I put out a new song every single week. Some were good and some weren’t. I learned something from every one of them, mostly how to finish things.

The ones people still bring up are “High School Never Really Ends”, “Princess Peach” and the Freshman Year Mixtape, which has the Heartbreak Hiatus songs on it. A lot of that year has since come down from streaming, but you can still hear it all in the Bigger Dreams Club.

Finding the sound.

After a year of putting out everything, I slowed down and spent more time on each song. “Backflips” was the one where it started to sound like me.

That year I also made “Wavy”. I had no idea where that one would end up.

The year it clicked.

I met Noelani, and we started making videos together. People connected with them in a way I never expected. One took off, and it brought a whole lot of new people to the music.

“Sorry, I Don’t” with John Michael Howell and “Forget About You” blew up that year, and they’re still my biggest songs today. That summer I played Holy Smoke, and we made a documentary about it. It was also the year the Bigger Dreams Club started.

A new chapter.

In 2024 I married Noelani.

It was also a heavy year. I was dealing with health problems, mostly with my sleep, and some difficult things with family. Music started as my outlet for heartbreak, and I had to find the passion for it again.

I kept making things. I put out the album best year of my life, eight songs, including “luv u” with John Michael Howell and “million dollars” with Nic D. John Michael is probably my biggest collaborator. We go way back, and we’re still making songs together.

Finding it again.

2025 is when it started to feel good again. “i don’t wanna cry in heaven” and the daybreak EP came out, and I went on tour opening for The Astronomers.

We also passed 100,000 followers on Instagram. I made a video to say thank you.

Momentum.

I spent most of the year in Nashville, working, connecting with people and touring. I put my full focus back on music, and it shows.

In the spring we toured eight cities with Kyle Hume. Then Sincer and I put out our first album as CLUBHOUSE!, DON’T HAVE A RACIST SUMMER. Add “strangers again”, “fell for fiction”, and a new series where I write a song for a movie on camera. It feels like it’s all starting to move.
